By Tuk-Tuks

Tuk-tuks, the iconic three-wheeled motorized rickshaws, are a vibrant and fun way to experience Bangkok, offering an open-air ride and close-up views of the city. They can drop you off directly at your desired location, unlike buses or trains, and can be handy for navigating narrow streets or reaching hidden gems.

However, the ride can be bumpy, noisy, and hot, especially during the day. The journey can be slow due to Bangkok’s notorious traffic, and the lack of seatbelts can be dangerous.

Fares must be bargained in advance. For short trips of up to 3 kilometres, the fare is around 30 baht. Use a map or have your destination written in Thai and show it to the driver to avoid confusion.

Be extra careful if you choose this mode of transport as tourists often get rip off by unscrupulous drivers.
